Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Santa Barbara will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in California usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 5β11 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Santa Barbara is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Santa Barbara is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is such an amazing experience. Ryan was our chef, and given it was a super intimate experience we were able to talk him the entire meal. It was nice to hear about his passion for the craft and how he got into it. Each dish was purposefully made and absolutely delicious. The rice they use was a standout, and the first place outside of Japan that it is served. We also got the sake omakase and loved it! If you appreciate good sushi, and have a bit of money to spend, I highly recommend going here!

While not terrible, we found the found rather average. Of the 10 some odd bites (plus or minus a few, I don't recall exactly), maybe 1/3 were spectacular. The rest tasted like nothing special that we could have gotten at Sun Sushi. To be clear, I'm overly critical because of the price. If this were a $100 spot for 2, its an easy 5 star Google review. However, I find it highly problematic dropping $600+ and having multiple pieces of generic white fish sushi. To this extent, Silvers was wildly uninspiring. And especially compared to the other top spot in town, Sushi by Scratch, the clear winner is not Silvers. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is very good, but the food itself? Meh. I don't know if it was just an off day or what, but expectations were high and the food very much under delivered.

This is a special spot. When you arrive, youβre seated in an intimate waiting room, greeted and given champagne. Once ready, they walk you into the sushi room where you and the other guests (8 total) are seated at a beautiful counter. All the finishes and dish ware are hand crafted and purposeful. Jaime, the som, walks you through the beverage menu (get sakeβ¦ any sake) and then the sushi begins. Itβs all made in front of you and it will invariably be the freshest meal youβve ever had in your life. The flavors are subtle, yet life changing. Each course isnβt more than a few bites, but theyβre each exquisite. Sadly, you wonβt want to eat sushi anywhere else ever again. The food is Michelin star worthy (and mostly sourced from Japan) and the chance to talk with the team about the food and their lives is a treat. Everyone there is passionate about their craft, personable and authentic. The meal isnβt cheap ($230/person before drinks) but if you are willing to savor every bite itβs absolutely worth it to celebrate a special occasion. Lennon, Ryan, Derek and Jaime make the experience truly memorable.

The closest Iβve felt to being back in Japan in the states. Every element from food, service, design is thoughtful curated. From the welcome bubbles to glassware to the lighting. Every bite is like a bite of heaven. Every sip is perfectly paired to go perfectly with each bite. The team are fun and friendly. You feel like royalty sitting at this sushi bar. Itβs my favorite go to for an anniversary or birthday celebration.

One of the best omakase experiences among the many places we have been to in the world. The young chef is very proud and pays great attention to the ingredients and food. We were here for the valentine's day dinner, everything was perfect, we had a great conversation with the chef also. Recommended!
